  • Faster project graph creation: up to 60% faster cold and 80% faster warm on a large enterprise workspace.

  • Worktree-aware caching — the Nx cache is now shared across git worktrees, so switching between worktrees gives you a cache hit instead of a rebuild.
  • 7x reduction in daemon memory — on Nx's own repo, the daemon footprint dropped from 1.5-1.6 GB to ~200 MB.
  • Faster cache replay — restoring 1110 cached tasks now takes 1.16s, down from ~17s.

  📄json input type for selective JSON field hashing

  A new input type lets you hash only specific fields of a JSON file instead of the whole thing. For example, only invalidate the build cache when `dependencies` or `peerDependencies` change in `package.json`, ignoring edits to `scripts` or `author`.

  📄Source map annotations for nx show target

  `nx show target --verbose` now reports the plugin, preset, or config file that contributed each input, output, and option. Makes it far easier to figure out why a target is configured the way it is.

  📄NX_BAIL to stop on first failure

  Setting `NX_BAIL=true` stops a run as soon as a single task fails, instead of continuing through the rest of the graph. Contributed by [@jase88](https://github.com/jase88).

  📄Angular Rspack fixes

  Angular Rspack got HMR support, `fileReplacements` wired into `resolve.alias`, and Windows path separator normalization for i18n.

  Bug Fixes

  Self-Healing CI: Azure DevOps support and git hook integration

  In-app setup for Self-Healing CI now covers Azure DevOps workspaces, reaching feature parity with GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket. Configure automated fix proposals and PR comment notifications from workspace settings, with no manual CI configuration required.

  AI-proposed commits also now run through your prepare-commit-msg and commit-msg hooks before being saved, so commit message linting, ticket reference validation, and other hook-based conventions apply to AI-generated fixes just as they would to a human commit.

  CI duration percentiles in workspace analytics

  The workspace analytics dashboard now shows p5, p25, p50, p75, and p95 breakdowns for CI pipeline execution durations. Average CI time hides a lot — now you can see exactly how bad your worst runs actually are, and have the data to justify fixing them.

  VCS organization access via access policies

  VCS organization membership is now managed through access policies instead of being stored directly on the organization document. Members of a connected GitHub or GitLab organization are automatically synced as read-only access policies, consistent with how workspace-level VCS visibility already works.

  Member sync now uses cooldown-based refresh (24 hours on hit, 15 minutes on miss) rather than periodic frontend polling, reducing unnecessary requests and improving responsiveness when new members join.

  Workspace-Repository Access Syncing

  Nx Cloud workspaces can now be configured to mirror access from your VCS provider. When enabled, access to the workspace is automatically granted to users who have access to the connected repository — no manual member management required. Public repositories with this setting enabled are treated as public workspaces; private repositories are restricted to users with repository access on the VCS provider.

  Nx now traces the real file I/O a task performs and compares it against its declared inputs and outputs. Undeclared reads or writes get flagged as violations, catching hidden dependencies that would otherwise lead to false cache hits or missing artifacts on replay. Same hermeticity guarantees as Bazel, without running your toolchain inside a physical sandbox.

  📄Angular 21.2 Support

  Angular 21.2 support has been added. Use `nx migrate` to upgrade your workspace and adopt the latest Angular version.

  📄Vite 8 Support

  Nx 22.6.2 adds compatibility with Vite 8 across the ecosystem. Related plugins and executors have been updated, and when using React Router in framework mode, Nx will automatically enforce the appropriate Vite version to avoid compatibility issues.

  📄Debug target configuration with nx show target

  New `nx show target` subcommands reveal how a target is configured, with full resolved inputs, outputs, and executor options. `--check <file>` answers whether a specific file contributes to a task's hash. Handy for diagnosing unexpected cache misses without tracing through project.json, nx.json, and plugin-inferred config ([#34414](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34414)).

  📄Dependency filesets with ^{projectRoot}

  Input patterns can now reach into dependency source directly via `^{projectRoot}`. Hashing is more precise and dependency config changes no longer over-invalidate their consumers.

  📄Yarn Berry catalog support

  The project graph and `nx release` publishing now understand Yarn Berry catalog syntax ([#34552](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34552)).

  📄--stdin for nx affected

  Pipe a list of files into `nx affected` (e.g. `git diff --name-only main | nx affected --stdin -t test`). Useful for custom CI pipelines and git hooks that compute their own change set ([#34435](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34435)).

  📄--otp on top-level nx release

  A top-level `--otp` flag with automatic EOTP detection makes 2FA publishing a single-command flow ([#34473](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34473)).

  📄NX_SKIP_FORMAT to opt out of Prettier

  Setting `NX_SKIP_FORMAT=true` skips the Prettier pass generators run after they write files. First step toward decoupling formatting from the generator pipeline. Contributed by [@baer](https://github.com/baer) ([#34336](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34336)).

  📄External Maven dependencies in the project graph

  External Maven dependencies now show up in the Nx project graph ([#34368](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34368)).

  Bug Fixes

  Nx 22.6 ships a large number of bug fixes across the ecosystem. Highlights include:

  • Cache reliability: Fixed cache restoration when dangling symlinks are present. macOS file watching now uses recursive FSEvents instead of non-recursive kqueue, resolving missed change events in nested directories.
  • Gradle & Maven: Corrected batch runner synchronization, project name mapping, and task output file glob handling. Gradle properties and wrapper files are now included as task inputs for correct cache invalidation.
  • Bundling: Fixed a regression affecting process.env usage in webpack builds. Module federation SSL configuration has also been corrected.
  • Testing: Vitest's reportsDirectory is now resolved relative to the workspace root (this is a breaking change if you relied on the previous behavior). Jest matcher alias migration and Playwright plugin input inference have also been fixed.
  • Stability: Fixed a TUI panic when Nx Console is connected. Plugin workers now correctly reject pending promises when they exit unexpectedly. SQLite transaction retry logic has been improved.
  • Security: Several dependency vulnerabilities have been addressed, and a shellapi flag has been removed from the Windows build to reduce antivirus false positives.

  Organization admins now see recommendations for which tasks and task patterns are good candidates for automatic fix application in Self-Healing CI. Recommendations appear in the Self-Healing CI settings screen, and also surface during fix application when a fix matches an existing recommendation, making it easier to confidently expand your auto-apply rules over time.   Significant reductions in memory and CPU usage across the board. A new task I/O service improves how Nx manages process communication, and native module performance is improved, reducing the footprint of long-running daemon processes. Especially noticeable in large monorepos where the Nx daemon was previously a bit of a resource hog.

  📄Batch tasks displayed in the TUI

  The Terminal UI now displays batch tasks as a unified group rather than showing them as individual unrelated tasks. When multiple tasks are executed together in a batch, such as when using the Gradle or Maven plugins, they appear together in the TUI output, making it much easier to follow what's running and understand the overall progress of a build.

  📄Maven batch executor

  Maven tasks now run through a batch executor enabled by default, executing multiple Maven tasks in a single JVM for a significant performance boost. Maven classes are loaded at runtime, so the executor works across Maven versions including Maven 4 and Spring Boot 4.0 ([#34180](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34180)).

  `nx list --json` outputs the plugin list as structured data so AI agents and scripts can consume it directly ([#34551](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34551)).

  📄ESLint v10 support

  `@nx/eslint` is compatible with ESLint v10 ([#34534](https://github.com/nrwl/nx/pull/34534)).

  Self-Healing CI now supports Bitbucket workspaces

  Workspaces connected to Bitbucket repositories can now enable and configure Self-Healing CI through workspace settings. Bitbucket users can enable Self-Healing CI for their PRs, configure PR comment notifications, set up automatic flaky task reruns, and define eligible task patterns and auto-apply rules.

  Customize Self-Healing CI with .nx/SELF_HEALING.md

  Drop a .nx/SELF_HEALING.md file in your Nx workspace to give the Self-Healing CI agent additional context without needing a dedicated agent configuration file. Document project-specific conventions, known failure patterns, confidence rules, off-limits areas, or anything else that helps the agent produce better fix proposals.

  --no-interactive flag for nx-cloud apply-locally

  The nx-cloud apply-locally command now supports a --no-interactive flag, making it suitable for AI agent workflows and automated scripts where interactive prompts would block execution.

  New Enterprise image

  A new Nx Cloud Enterprise image shipped with three highlights:

  • Self-Healing CI platform expansion + setup wizard: Azure DevOps and Bitbucket now have full Self-Healing CI support with automated fix application (previously GitHub/GitLab only). A new one-click setup wizard detects your CI provider and opens a PR with nx-cloud fix-ci preconfigured.
  • AI fix status badges and advanced filtering: CI Pipeline Executions now show status badges (Generating Fix, Fix Ready, Fix Applied) on the workspace overview, with filtering by fix status and failure classification (code change vs. environment vs. flaky).
  • CI Pipeline Execution configuration view: A new Configuration tab shows all CIPE settings in one place — completion mode, VCS context, cache status, distribution setup, auto-stop conditions, Self-Healing settings — removing the guesswork from troubleshooting.
